Welcome to the website of the united benefice of Ticehurst and Flimwell.
The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin in Ticehurst, East Sussex has two services every Sunday. The earliest fabric of the building is 14th century and is surrounded by three acres of churchyard.
Our sister church is the Parish Church of St Augustine of Canterbury, Flimwell, which has two services a month, on the second and fourth Sundays. Of particular interest at St Augustine’s is the chancel, with its mosaic panelling and beautifully carved rood screen.
St Mary’s are holders of the Eco Church Gold Award from 2022. We are also Animal Friendly Church of the Year 2020 (joint winner, awarded by ASWA).
