Most of the St Mary’s Church, Ticehurst, historical records have been passed to the The County
Records Office at The Keep, Woollards Way, Brighton.
List of Memorials and Identified Graves This register is maintained at Ticehurst and has some 3,000
names. It lists all the memorials in the church on gravestones and ashes memorial plates. Many of
the older gravestones have become illegible through weather.
World War Memorials Two memorials in St Mary’s list a total of 82 men who died in the two wars,
about most of whom we hold further personal information. There are also Roll of Honour Boards in
the church porch which list some 540 men and women who served in the two world wars.
